Circular Economy Assessment Tool

Circular Economy

In the age of rapid global change and heightened awareness of sustainable business practices, the transition to a circular economy has become increasingly crucial for companies looking to thrive in a competitive market. However, our extensive engagement with businesses has revealed a recurring challenge: many companies lack clarity on their current stage of circular economy adaptation and struggle to identify potential opportunities for improvement. This observation aligns with barriers identified in the existing literature, demonstrating the need for a comprehensive and user-friendly tool that enables companies to navigate the complexities of the circular economy. To address this gap, we have aligned with Loughborough Business School, co-developed the Circular Economy Assessment Tool — a groundbreaking solution designed to assist businesses in evaluating their current practices, quantifying their results, and identifying areas for growth.

CE Assessment for Business

The Circular Economy Assessment Tool is an invaluable resource for businesses seeking to optimize their operations, reduce their environmental footprint, and contribute to a more sustainable and prosperous future.

This tool is part of deliverables from the project Repowering the Black Country. Repowering the Black Country will establish a commercial environment where every business and investor can access the data and finance they need to identify and exploit clean economic opportunities locally and globally. Our Zero Carbon energy infrastructure will be fully-integrated into a national industrial decarbonisation strategy and we will work closely with our sister industrial clusters in Wales, Humberside, the North West and across the UK. The project is a partnership and seeks to work collaboratively with existing agencies and organisations as much as possible. We will complete master planning and establish the necessary data and financial infrastructure by 2023. The initial Zero Carbon hubs will be operational by 2030, and we aim to realise the complete vision before 2040.
